CERAMIC
Breaks into large, whole shards. Easy to find all pieces and clean up. Little risk to others unless they are careless. Can be put back together quite convincingly. Makes a hollow moan.
GLASS
Breaks into many sharp pieces of all sizes. High risk to all surroundings once broken. Pieces travel far and some are found weeks later or never again. Difficult to put back together, but can spend a lot of time in the ocean until it is smoothed out into beach glass. Screams loud.
PLASTIC
Breaks under pressure or won't realize it's broken until it's too late and contents begin to seep out. Attempts to stay in one piece but doesn't function. When broken, mild risk to others, and if so, often surprises them. Cracks quietly and unsure, like a question.
WOOD
Breaks and splits into layers revealing the past, present, and future. When broken, a heavy energy is released that can be high risk to others if they are close enough to breathe it in or get under their skin. Holds on, only breaks for sincere reasons. Aches and echoes.
